Trini Talk with Susan Ashley Hunt
Well folks we are pretty excited to share with you our first Trini Talk.
But you might be asking yourself the heck is a “Trini Talk”? Well we are super fortunate to be in contact with some pretty amazing teachers, coaches, women leaders, and entrepreneurs who all are dedicated to helping individuals grow, thrive, and all around be greater human beings. So we created “Trini Talks”, a laid back convo between ourselves and these fab people, so that their ideas and work could also be shared with our community as well.
That being said we couldn’t be happier to have for our first “Trini Talk” with our guest Susan Ashley Hunt. We both have known Sue for several years now and originally met through yoga while she owned a studio in Cincinnati, OH, but Sue’s talent, beauty, and skills, far surpass only handstands and chaturangas. She is the real deal when it comes to meditation, Buddhist teachings, and helping others deeply connect with themselves.
A little more about Sue
Susan Ashley Hunt is a Cancer Pisces, minimalist and Buddhist. She is also devoted yogi, and holds teacher trainings, national workshops and international yoga retreats all across the world. She has a BA in Hinduism and Buddhism studies from Trinity College and continued her graduate work in Consciousness Studies and Transpersonal Psychology.
Her deep contemplative practice stems from her immersion in the teachings of Swami Sivanada Radha at Yashodhara Ashram, Vedanta, Mahayana Buddhism and Kundalini. Sue also studied yoga therapy at Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, Chennai India
She shares her time with her beloved husband Dan, and their wolf dog Nihla in the high desert of Taos, New Mexico that they call home. The pair loves to travel and rock climb all over the US while spending as much time in nature as possible.
What we are loving about this Talk
When we talked with Sue we both walked away from the convo feeling grounded, relaxed, and reminded that sitting down, getting honest with ourselves and doing the work ( spirited self-development) is so important if you truly want real transformation.
It is so easy to seek out quick solutions for our growth when so much of our life is revolved around instant gratification, but Sue understands the value of the long game and has seen how daily yoga practice, meditation, and continued curiosity of her evolution is endlessly rewarding.
Highlights from our convo are at selected minute markers.
